Efren grew up in Puerto Rico and completed all his superior and professional education on the island. He has a B.A in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Juris Doctor from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico.

Completing both degrees with honors. He has been admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar since 2018. In 2021 Efren decided to move to United States to pursue his desire to practice Immigration law and help his fellow Hispanic community. Before working at Canero Fadul Reis Law Efren worked as attorney in the Puerto Rico Department of Housing. After moving from Puerto Rico in 2021 Efren has gone on to gain extensive experience in a wide range of immigration matters working in non-profit organizations and in private law firms. Outside of work, Efren enjoys spending time with his daughter, "hiking," “watching sports” and visiting Puerto Rico.
